The Zero Waste Communities of San Bernardino County is made up of 16 cities/townships and the County of San Bernardino. They have partnered to educate their residents and businesses on waste reduction, reuse, and recycling. Reducing waste will prolong the life of our landfill, ensuring a better quality of life.

Some of the "Zero Waste" goals include:

  • Educating consumers to buy products made of recycled materials, and products that can be reused and repaired.
  • Making manufacturers take greater responsibility for the proper disposal of their products.
  • Improving product design for easier reuse, repair and recycling.
  • Promoting waste prevention, recycling and composting.
